BS News Agency Kolkata: Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's film 'Dear Maa' is a story of two mothers, their children and a father. Now the question may arise that why does one child have two mothers? One is actually the biological mother, that is, the birth mother, and the other has adopted him. Not only for the bond of relationship, but this film is good to watch because it shows a significant aspect of motherhood. There is no fight or unnecessary complexity between the two mothers over their child, instead there is a silent expression. Which is also resolved by expressing feelings. There may be a fight between the two mothers over the child's sense of entitlement, but for the child, both of his mothers are very close. If a child finds out one day that the one he has known as his mother for so long is not his own mother, then he will definitely look for his own mother, search for his roots. But how can he deny his inner attraction to the mother who raised him with maternal affection, care, and love? Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's film Dear Maa is based on this issue. I will not say anything more about the story of the film, otherwise you will know it after watching the film. But I will say this, overall it is a wonderful film Dear Maa. The director has made the film with great care. Every scene of the film is able to hold the attention due to the acting, storytelling, cinematography (Avik Mukherjee), editing (Arghya Kamal Mitra), music (Vikram Ghosh) for everything. Because overall there was a balance in the film. The treatment of this film is also a little different. There is flashback, at the same time there is travel in different times in the present. I like the acting of Jaya Ehsan in the role of mother (Brinda), Chandan Roy Sanyal in the role of father (Ark). The acting of Ahana (younger) and Nandika (older) in the role of daughter Jhimli is the asset of this film. Also, Anuva Fatepuria, Shaswat Chatterjee, Dhritimaan Chatterjee, Padmapriya, Sayan Munshi are all appropriate in their roles.
