One bus passenger dies

Eyewitnesses said that while the bus was speeding,
the private passenger bus lost control and first hit an electric pole
Then it hit a culvert and overturned on the road.
The accident occurred on Monday afternoon at Bhandardihi on the Burdwan-Nabadwip State Highway
Bus passengers said that the bus was traveling at a very high speed from Burdwan and lost control and hit a culvert on the side of the road
Then the bus loaded with passengers overturned on the road.
Several passengers were trapped in the bus in the accident
After that, local residents started rescue operations
Later, the police of Dewandighi police station went to the accident site and first took the injured passengers to the Kurmun Primary Health Center
On receiving the news, the BDO arrived at the scene of the accident
Then most of the injured passengers were shifted to the Burdwan Medical College Hospital
Several people are in critical condition in the hospital.
Akbar Sheikh, a bus passenger from Nabadwip Serampur, said that the bus was going at a high speed after leaving Burdwan.
The bus driver lost control and hit the culvert.
The accident occurred due to the driver's mistake.
The bus passengers also said that while the bus was going at a high speed,
it also hit an electric pole.
Then it lost control and hit the culvert on the side of the road.
BDO Rajnish Kumar Yadav of Burdwan Block No. 1 reached there after receiving the news of the accident.
Among the injured bus passengers who were sent to Burdwan Medical College Hospital, one bus passenger died in the accident.
About 30 to 40 people were injured.
The deceased bus passenger has been identified as Subodh Mondal.
