News Agency Kolkata: The Central Election Commission had ordered the suspension of four government officials of the state on charges of rigging the voter list. The commission ordered the suspension of two EROs and two AEROs. However, the Chief Minister made it clear today that she will not suspend anyone. It is her responsibility to protect the government officials and she also said that she will do it today. Standing by the election-oriented administration employees, Mamata's message was, 'There is nothing to fear. They will not be able to do anything. They are the cuckoos of spring - they come for two months, then fly away. It is our responsibility to protect you.' Assuring the government employees and officers, the Chief Minister said, 'From employees to officers, everyone will be safe, you work for the people, so it is our duty to look after you.'
The Chief Minister said, 'Government employees are being intimidated. EROs were suspended tomorrow too. The elections have started yet? Eight months left. Through which law are they being suspended?  Are you acting as Amit Shah's broker?'
On Wednesday, Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee once again shouted at the BJP from the soil of Jhargram. After the march to protect the language, the Trinamool leader shouted at the BJP in a speech on the stage and said, "I will not accept terrorism against the Bengali language. I will give blood if necessary, I will not give up an inch of land." The Trinamool supremo was vocal on the issue of insulting the Bengali language and harassment of Bengalis. Along with this, Mamata Banerjee also criticized the ruling party BJP at the center on the issue of NRC and the recent SIR controversy.
He said today, "There is no India without Bengal. NRC notice from Assam to Bengal. Shame on the Assam government. An insult to the language of Rabindranath, Nazrul, Vidyasagar. Not a single name is left out of the voter list. If you say Bengali, you say Bangladeshi. State government officials are being intimidated. People are committing suicide due to the fear of NRC. Who will take responsibility for this?"
In his speech, the Trinamool leader also touched upon the previous Left regime. He said, "During the Left regime, no one would come to Jhargram. People were afraid to go from Lalgarh to Belpahari. Now Jhargram has seen a lot of development. The people of Jhargram are doing well, that is what they deserve."
