Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency, Kolkata: If there are any discrepancies in the voter list, then all the MPs including the Prime Minister, Home Minister and others have been elected on the basis of this list. The MPs elect the President and Vice President. Therefore, if there are any irregularities in the entire process, the central government should resign.
If the SIR is implemented across the country and a fresh election is held, the people will welcome this initiative. If there was any rigging under the supervision of former Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, a criminal case should be initiated and an FIR should be filed against him.
