Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency, Kolkata: FIFA has taken action this time on the Anwar Ali issue. Mohun Bagan recently approached FIFA regarding the breach of contract of SG Anwar, after not getting any help from AIFF. They wrote a letter to FIFA informing them of the entire incident and seeking redress. Finally, the world football governing body responded to that letter to Mohun Bagan. FIFA has informed in the letter that they will talk to the Indian Football Federation about this matter so that it is resolved quickly.
FIFA has written in the letter, 'We assure you that we will communicate with your organization in due course regarding relevant activities as required.'
Actually, Anwar Ali, one of the country's most renowned defenders, joined East Bengal two seasons ago. Mohun Bagan claims that Anwar has broken his contract with them and played in the red and yellow jersey unethically. Mohun Bagan appealed to the AIFF for a fair settlement. The matter has been pending in the Appeal Committee for the past two seasons. This committee has not responded to the green and maroon's appeal.
Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan repeatedly tried to resolve the matter through lawyers, but it was not possible because the federation did not pay attention. After this, the federation informed that the appeal committee does not exist. Because the chairman of this committee has resigned. A new committee has not been formed. This time, the green and maroon camp is really angry with the federation's negligence. They were somewhat forced to approach FIFA regarding Anwar's breach of contract. The federation was also informed in detail in a letter to FIFA how irresponsible the federation is. A copy was also sent to the AFC.
