Ranchi: India's star batter Virat Kohli smashed a wonderful century in the 1st
ODI against South Africa, looking at the bowling department, Kuldeep Yadav took
four crucial wickets, helping India beat South Africa by 17 runs at the JSCA
International Stadium Complex, Ranchi.

first ODI against South Africa on Sunday. Sent in to bat first, India lost
Yashasvi Jaiswal early before Rohit and Virat joined hands with a hundred-run
stand. Although Rohit departed for 57, Kohli went on to notch up his 52nd
hundred in ODIs and 83rd in international cricket to put India in a driver's
seat. For South Africa, Marco Jansen and Nandre Burger, Corbin Bosch, Ottneil
Baartman, all took two wickets each. Earlier, stand-in South Africa skipper
Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to field against India.
