East Bengal Club felicitated the victorious women's football team.

Sanchita Chatterjee, Kolkata: East Bengal Club felicitated the victorious women's football team, coach Antony Andrews, and the supporting staff for winning the SAFF Club Cup. This felicitation ceremony took place at the club premises on Christmas Eve, in the presence of journalists. Present were club officials Murarilal Lohia, Rupak Saha, leader Dr. Shantiranjan Dasgupta, Emami Group Director Sandeep Agarwal, Football Head Thangboi Singto, and Head Coach Antony Andrews. Also present were footballers Saikat Ganguly, Debabrata Sarkar, all members of the club's executive committee, and former club officials. The women footballers were presented with a cheque of Rs. 25 lakhs from the club, along with a red and yellow scarf and a beautiful centenary memento. A cake was cut in honor of the women's team and the coaches. Dinner was also arranged for everyone.

Rupak Saha described the victory as historic. He said that winning the SAFF Club trophy in Kathmandu has made the club proud.
Murarilal Lohia, highlighting the achievements of the club's footballers, said, "Dil Maange More" (The heart wants more).
