However, Alipurduar was saved from a terrible accident by safely getting the students off the bus as soon as they saw the flames. This sensational incident took place in Patka Para area near Alipurduar city.
It is learnt that an English medium school bus in Hamilton suddenly caught fire at around 2 pm. Locals rushed to get the students off the bus. No one was injured. Later, the fire brigade came and brought the fire under control. The police are investigating the cause of the fire in the bus. The fit certificate and other documents of the bus are being examined. However, the school has kept quiet about this. The school principal did not answer the phone of the media.
