Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency, Kolkata, 5 January 2026: The Driving Range at Tollygunge Club came alive on Sunday morning as members and their families gathered in large numbers for the much-awaited Annual Tolly Pet Party, held alongside the Vintage & Modern Marvels Car Display – “Heritage in Motion.” Blessed with pleasant winter weather, the event unfolded in a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere marked by enthusiastic participation, excellent food, and a strong sense of community spirit.
The Tolly Pet Party once again showcased the Club’s deep affection for animals. A delightful variety of pets furry, feathered, and more participated across multiple categories, drawing warm applause from an appreciative audience. Highlights included highly responsive pets, imaginative fancy-dress entries, and heart-warming stories of rescued and adopted animals. The event beautifully reflected the close bond between members and their companions, creating moments of joy, laughter, and shared pride.
Running alongside the pet celebrations, the Vintage & Modern Marvels Car Display offered visitors a captivating journey through automotive history. Over 50 vintage and classic cars, meticulously maintained by Club members, were showcased. Notable exhibits included a 1913 Stower C1, a 1930 Rolls-Royce limousine, Bentley Mark VI, several Morris Minors, a 1987 Land Rover, classic Austin models, and many other beautifully preserved automobiles. Together, these vehicles celebrated craftsmanship, heritage, and the enduring legacy of motoring across generations.
