*Emphasising Human–AI Collaboration as Core of Enterprise Transformation: CII*.

Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: CII today highlighted the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in Indian enterprises at “AI: The New Engine of Enterprise”, a precursor to the India AI Impact Summit organised by CII Eastern Region in Kolkata. Industry leaders emphasised that the future of enterprise growth will be driven by collaboration between human and AI, reshaping productivity, decision-making, and business outcomes.
Mr Pankaj Vyas, CEO & Managing Director, Siemens Technology & Services Pvt Ltd, said the world has entered the age of the Intelligence Revolution, with AI evolving from prediction-based models to agentic systems capable of autonomous action. He stressed that enterprises with robust data strategies, reliable infrastructure, and adaptive human–AI governance frameworks will be best positioned to succeed.
Highlighting the economic potential of AI, Mr Shashwat Goenka, Chairman, CII Eastern Region and Vice Chairman, RPSG Group, noted that study suggested that AI could add USD 500 to 600 billion to India’s GDP by 2035 through productivity gains and USD 17 to 26 trillion globally over the next decade. He underlined that India can capture 10 to 15 per cent of this value as both a user and creator of AI-driven products, platforms, and services, with reskilling and digital fluency critical for success.
Mr Deepak Pargaonkar, Head of AI and Agentforce, Salesforce India, emphasised that Agentic AI can autonomously manage end-to-end business processes, enabling outcome-driven execution and value creation. 
Mr Shiv Siddhant Narayan Kaul, Managing Director, Nicco Engineering Services Ltd, emphasised that structured data collection, organizing data, and data mining are essential for transforming raw information into actionable intelligence, driving the ongoing intelligence revolution.
The discussions concluded that India’s enterprise transformation will depend on bold AI adoption, strategic reskilling, and stronger collaboration between industry and academia to build AI-driven products, platforms, and services.
