BS News Agency: Veteran Bollywood actor Ashish Vidyarthi and his wife Rupali Baruah were hit by a speeding bike while they were crossing the road in Guwahati on Friday (January 2) night.
Reportedly, the incident occurred in front of The Guwahati Address Hotel in Guwahati's Zoo Road area.
The biker also sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Geetanagar Police rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and the injured biker was admitted to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for treatment.
Ashish Vidyarthi and Rupali Baruah were also provided medical assistance.
Following the incident, Vidyarthi shared a video message on Instagram on Saturday (January 3) to reassure fans that they are safe.
“Rupali and I were crossing the street yesterday when a bike hit us. Both of us are fine. Rupali is under observation and everything is okay. I am fine just with a minor injury,” he said.
He also informed that the injured biker had regained consciousness.
“We have been taken very good care of by the emergency staff at Apollo Hospital. Thank you all for your concern and best wishes,” he added.
