*12th International Kolkata Poultry Fair 2026*

Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency, Kolkata: The 12th International Kolkata Poultry Fair 2026 is being started by the West Bengal Poultry Federation in collaboration with the State Government's Ministry of Animal Resources Development. Representatives from China are also participating. The main objective of the fair is to increase awareness among the public about the nutritional value of poultry and to further strengthen the poultry industry in the state. The participating countries of this year's fair include representatives from many countries like *China, Malaysia, Spain, Brazil, Nigeria*. There will be 150 stalls. 
The fair will be inaugurated by Animal Resources Development Minister Shri Swapan Debnath, 
Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Pradeep Kumar Majumder, 
Fisheries Minister Biplob Roychowdhury and 
Forest Minister Birbaha Hansda, etc. 
The fair will run from 11th to 13th February. The fair is being managed by the Chairman of the Federation, Madan Mohan Maiti.

Minister Swapan Debnath in his speech said that West Bengal is one of the leading states in the country in poultry production, and India is currently playing an important role in global poultry exports. He said that the state government's goal is to make West Bengal the top in egg exports, especially by developing special export partnerships with the North-Eastern states.
At the end of the inaugural ceremony, it was decided that West Bengal will be made a model state in the country in poultry production, nutrition and export.
