Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: The fire and smoke were first seen in the kitchen of a flat on the 5th floor of Tower No. 4 of the residential complex. According to initial estimates, the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the air conditioning (AC).
Damage and casualties: There are no reports of any casualties in the incident so far, but the corridors were filled with black smoke, causing intense panic among the residents.
Before the arrival of the two fire engines, the fire was largely brought under control by the residential complex's own state-of-the-art fire-fighting system and the prompt action of the staff. Later, the fire brigade arrived and completely normalized the situation.
