Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: 'Head Severed with a Single Blow': Middle-Aged Man Takes Ice Cream Vendor's Head Home and Cooks It—Right Before Everyone's Eyes! Another brutal murder has rocked the 'Yogi-raj' (Uttar Pradesh). A 25-year-old ice cream vendor was murdered by decapitation. The horror, however, did not end there. After killing the vendor, the 50-year-old accused carried the severed head home, dangling it from his hand. He then proceeded to cook a meal in his own home with the severed head placed right beside him. According to pan-Indian media reports, the incident took place in the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. Police stated that the young man, identified as Bablu, used to visit Parasawal village daily to sell ice cream. He had gone to the village to sell ice cream yesterday as well, where he got into a minor altercation with a local resident named Shankar Yadav.

During the heated argument, Shankar suddenly struck Bablu across the neck with a machete. In full public view, he hacked at Bablu's neck, completely severing his head from his body. He then picked up the severed head from the road and carried it back to his home—doing so right before everyone's eyes, with the head dangling from his hand. Upon reaching home, he lit a stove and began to cook, with the severed head nearby.

Immediately after the murder, locals alerted the police. A large police contingent rushed to the scene without delay. After cordoning off the entire area, the police reached Shankar's residence. Upon entering the kitchen, they found Shankar in the act of cooking; Bablu's severed head was lying right next to the stove.

The police swiftly arrested the accused, Shankar. They also recovered the weapon used in the murder as well as the severed head. Police officials noted that Bablu is survived by his wife and two children. He was the eldest son of the family and bore the sole responsibility of supporting his family and managing household expenses. Bablu's body has been sent for an autopsy. The police are currently investigating the specific cause that triggered the altercation between Shankar and Bablu.
