Aam Aadmi Party Clips Raghav Chadha's Wings in Rajya Sabha; Young MP Stripped of Deputy Leader Post.

Sanchita Chatterjee, NS News Agency: Amidst a backdrop of long-standing speculation and internal discord, Arvind Kejriwal's party has taken a significant step. Raghav Chadha—a prominent young leader and Member of Parliament—has been removed from the post of the party's Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. The Aam Aadmi Party has already formally communicated this decision to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat via a written letter. This sudden move by the party has created a stir within political circles.
Notably, this crucial responsibility will henceforth be shouldered by Dr. Ashok Mittal, a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, replacing Raghav Chadha. In the letter sent to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, the AAP not only conveyed this change but also included a specific request. According to sources, the party leadership has explicitly stated that no separate time slot should be allocated to Raghav Chadha for delivering speeches during parliamentary sessions. This stern stance adopted by the party has sparked questions regarding Raghav's political future.
A certain rift had developed between Raghav Chadha and the top leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party over the past several days. Although this situation fueled various speculations among political analysts, neither side had publicly addressed the matter until now. However, his removal from the post of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha has effectively validated all those speculations. This move by the party is being viewed as a manifestation of the leadership's growing dissatisfaction with Raghav.
Despite reports of this internal friction and discord circulating widely, the Aam Aadmi Party has not issued any formal statement acknowledging a conflict or a split. Nevertheless, the letter submitted to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat signals a major shift in the party's internal dynamics. The move to clip the wings of a high-profile leader like Raghav Chadha has now ignited fresh discussions within the political landscapes of both Punjab and Delhi. For the time being, the weighty responsibility of formulating the Aam Aadmi Party's strategy in the Rajya Sabha will rest upon Dr. Ashok Mittal. While Raghav Chadha's eloquence and presence in parliamentary politics were once viewed as a key asset for the party, the precise reasons behind the apparent diminution of his importance remain shrouded in mystery. However, given the current circumstances, it is evident that Raghav's relationship with the party's top leadership has reached a rather complex juncture.
