"If you have physical needs"—Molestation Allegations Rock TCS Nashik! Woman's Saree Pulled; Religious Slurs Hurled.

Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: The entire nation is in an uproar following allegations made by a female employee working at an IT firm's unit in Nashik. Five colleagues have been accused of months-long sexual harassment, stalking, unwanted physical contact, and hurling religious slurs. The police have already initiated an investigation into the matter. The complainant stated that she joined the company on June 20, 2025, and her training commenced on June 24 under the supervision of Shahrukh Qureshi and another colleague. From that very time, Raja Memon—a team leader working in the Loans Department—would regularly visit the training room and make personal and suggestive remarks. He allegedly repeatedly asked how she managed to live alone while her husband was away, whether she felt scared, and even offered his "assistance" should she ever be in need.

It is alleged that Raja and Shahrukh Qureshi also questioned her marriage and passed derogatory remarks regarding her personal life. Memon would address her as a "player" and make offensive comments while standing in close proximity to her.

**Unwanted Physical Contact, Slurs, and Propositions**

After completing her training, the employee began her regular duties in September 2025. It is alleged that during this period, another employee named Asif Ansari began frequently approaching her. He would deliberately touch her body, attempt to hold her hands, place his hands on her shoulders or thighs, and on one occasion, even forcibly embraced her.

The complainant claims that despite knowing she was married, Ansari repeatedly made various propositions to her and passed lewd comments. During lunch breaks, he would somehow manage to sit beside her and make offensive remarks; even crude comments regarding her religion were not spared.

This continued for several months. In January 2026, around the time of Makar Sankranti, derogatory remarks were made regarding her saree. Concurrently, allegations have been leveled against another employee named Tausif Attar, who allegedly would regularly visit her desk to offer food, make lewd and suggestive remarks, and—under the pretext of teaching her work after office hours—touch her inappropriately on various parts of her body. Allegations of Sari-Pulling and Surveillance

It is alleged that on the day of Gudi Padwa in March 2026, Raja Memon pulled at her sari from behind. Simultaneously, another employee named Shafi Sheikh reportedly circled around her while staring with an indecent gaze.

The complainant stated that these incidents occurred between June 2025 and March 2026. Initially, she remained silent out of fear of losing her job, but eventually, the situation became unbearable; consequently, she sought legal recourse.

A case has been filed against five individuals in connection with this incident. The National Commission for Women has constituted an inquiry committee to investigate the matter. The organization has stated that it maintains a strict policy against harassment and has placed the accused employees under temporary suspension.
