The SP chief has directly put both the Election Commission and the Central Forces in the dock over the decision to conduct re-polling in the Falta Assembly constituency. He questioned how allegations of booth capturing could possibly arise in an environment where every single polling station had effectively been transformed into a fortified 'camp' under the heavy guard of Central Forces. Akhilesh remarked sarcastically that if any irregularities truly did occur, the onus of responsibility lies squarely with the observers appointed to those specific booths. He further suggested that these observers should be dismissed, and the entire cost of the re-polling exercise should be recovered directly from their own pockets.
