Bibhash Lodh, BS News Agency, Kolkata: Cricketers from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) visited Disha Eye Hossspitals, New Town and interacted warmly with doctors, healthcare staff and patients at the hospital, spreading cheer and encouraging conversations around health, fitness and vision care. Disha Eye Hospitals, Eastern India’s largest eye care chain, is the Official Vision Partner of the franchise for the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League.
Present during the special visit were Anukul Roy, Tejasvi Singh, Ramandeep Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi of team KKR along with Dr Debasish Bhattacharya, Chairman & Managing Director, Disha Eye Hospitals.
As part of the engagement, the players also underwent comprehensive eye examinations and advanced vision screening sessions conducted by renowned ophthalmologists Dr Debdulal Chakraborty and Dr Soham Basak. The specialists shared valuable insights on maintaining healthy eyesight amidst demanding match schedules and extensive travel, while also discussing preventive eye care, management of eye strain and the role of nutrition in supporting visual performance.
