The Prime Minister is optimistic that in the future, Bengal can become a major center for fisheries, production, food processing, port-centric development, textile industry, tourism and digital economy.
Yesterday, Saturday, was West Bengal Day. This is the first time that West Bengal Day has been celebrated in a big way in the entire state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself was present in Tarakeswar. And on the occasion of this West Bengal Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave an emotional message, greeting the people of the state. In his five-page letter to the state's Chief Minister, Subhendu Adhikari, he has conveyed his message for the development and prosperity of the state, as well as highlighting the importance and cultural heritage of Bengal. Along with this, the Prime Minister has also highlighted the potential for the future development of Bengal. Along with this, the letter has also informed about the amount of money given to Bengal in the span of one and a half months. In the letter, the Prime Minister writes, "The central government will help the state in every possible way. About 40,000 crore rupees have been given to accelerate the past stalled development works, including the Jal Jeevan Mission and infrastructure-related works. About 15,000 crore rupees have been allocated for the development of railways and the allocation of 60,000 crore rupees is in process." He further said, "I am confident that West Bengal's development journey will move forward with greater vigour in the coming days. Especially since there is still a lot of work to be done! West Bengal's economy needs to be put on a stronger and modern footing. This means restoring investor confidence, accelerating growth in the industrial sector, supporting MSMEs, strengthening the freight transport system and ensuring that enterprises face support instead of harassment and uncertainty."
The Prime Minister is optimistic that in the future, West Bengal can become a major hub for fisheries, manufacturing, food processing, port-centric development, textiles, tourism and the digital economy. In his words, "The state's strategic geographical location can make it an important gateway for trade and connectivity. Wherever the BJP is in government, hard-working farmers are always at the centre of policy-making and I am sure that West Bengal will be no exception." It is worth mentioning that the Prime Minister had repeatedly highlighted the benefits of the double engine government while campaigning for the Bengal assembly elections. He also promised to help the state in every way. Similarly, when the BJP government came to power in Bengal, the Delhi government supported Bengal in every way.
