David's hat-trick gives Canada its first win in the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Bibhash Lodh, BS News Agency: Canada gave a great performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The North American team defeated Qatar by a huge margin of 6-0 goals in a crucial group stage match. The hero of the match was forward Jonathan David, who practically shattered the Qatari defense with a brilliant hat-trick. Canada started playing attacking football from the start of the match held in Vancouver on Friday (June 19). They did not give Qatar any chance with quick possession of the ball, continuous attacks and perfect finishing. The hosts took control of the match by scoring multiple goals in the first half. Canada maintained the same rhythm in the second half. David completed his hat-trick with his third goal. In addition, other players from the team's attack also scored goals to ensure a big victory. Canada also improved its goal difference significantly in this 6-0 victory. However, amidst the joy of the big win, midfielder Ismail Koné's injury has become a cause for concern. In the 53rd minute of the match, the 24-year-old Koné was the victim of a hard tackle by Qatari midfielder Asim Madibu.

He collapsed on the field in pain after the collision, clutching his ankle. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the Canadian medical team quickly entered the field and eventually transferred him off the field.
