Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: The ED has launched an investigation into the financial transactions of 'Leaps and Bounds' in connection with the teacher recruitment scam case. A summons directing Abhishek Banerjee to appear has been issued, and the notice has reached his office. Following the CID, the ED has now arrived at his Kalighat residence. On Wednesday afternoon, ED officials arrived at Abhishek's home in Kalighat, carrying the summons. He has been directed to appear on June 15 in connection with the teacher recruitment scam case. According to ED sources, the name of 'Leaps and Bounds' had previously surfaced in connection with the teacher recruitment scam. The CBI had also summoned Abhishek Banerjee regarding this matter on an earlier occasion. This time, ED officials arrived at his Kalighat residence specifically to serve a notice summoning him for interrogation in the same case. It was through the ECIR (Enforcement Case Information Report) filed by the CBI in this very case that the central investigative agency obtained information regarding financial transactions. ED sources revealed that the officials initially visited 'Shantiniketan' earlier in the day. As they could not locate the MP there, they subsequently proceeded to his residence on Kalighat Road. Significantly, Abhishek Banerjee was not at home at the time; he had left to attend a meeting convened by Mamata. After waiting outside the residence for a considerable period, an official from Abhishek's office finally accepted the ED's summons. It has been reported that ED officials obtained information regarding multiple financial transactions conducted through this company linked to Abhishek Banerjee, and the summons for his appearance has been issued specifically to interrogate him regarding this information. New details have emerged in the ED's investigation into the primary teacher recruitment scam case. The central agency seeks to interrogate Abhishek Banerjee based on this newly acquired information. However, this is not the first instance of an investigation in this case; the CBI had previously conducted searches and interrogated Abhishek Banerjee. Subsequently, on this day, ED officials arrived at his Kalighat residence to serve the summons regarding the primary teacher recruitment scam case. According to sources, officials from Delhi have accompanied their Kolkata counterparts to deliver this notice. The ED had previously summoned Abhishek in connection with this case while Sujay Krishna Bhadra was in their custody; however, Abhishek had declined to appear at that time. Abhishek's name also surfaced as 'Sir' in the audio clips of 'Kalighater Kaku'. The ED collected samples of Kalighater Kaku's voice for analysis, and the hypothesis was corroborated there as well.
