This fighting young man, who came from a very ordinary family, has set an example at the age of just 28. He had a desire to serve the country since childhood, to fulfill that dream, he passed the UPSC (UPSC Success Story) exam and got admitted to the Indian Military Academy (IMA). After receiving rigorous training from there, he is now working as a Lieutenant in the Indian Army. Chiranjit Banerjee is a resident of Dharapara, Guskara. His father, Utpal Banerjee, works as a generator operator in a cold store and his mother, Bakuldevi, is a housewife. Chiranjeet's parents said that since childhood, his goal was to join the army. That dream was fulfilled by joining the army rally in Durgapur in 2015 as a sepoy. However, Chiranjeet did not want to stop as an ordinary soldier. Seeing high-ranking army officers while working, he also dreamed of reaching that place. After coping with the very busy and stressful life of his career, he started preparing for the exam. Although he failed the first two times, he succeeded in the UPSC CDS (Combined Defense Service) exam in 2021. After completing the rigorous training of IM, Chiranjeet Banerjee was appointed as a lieutenant in the Indian Army. He is currently working in the Poonch sector of Kashmir. Along with his family, the entire Guskara community is excited and proud of Chiranjeet's success. Chiranjit has reached this point by working hard despite limited facilities, which is truly commendable. It is worth noting that Sanjeev Roy of Bhatar has made East Burdwan district proud with this same glory before. He also passed the NDA and joined the Indian Army as a Major. Sanjeev Roy also fought shoulder to shoulder with Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the terrorist attack on the Taj Hotel in Mumbai in 2008. After Unnikrishnan was killed in the gunfight, Sanjeev succeeded in defeating the notorious terrorist Ajmal Kasab. Chiranjit has become an inspiration to the new generation by continuing this glorious tradition of his district.
