A sensation has spread in the area over allegations of brutal and inhuman torture on an 11-year-old child. The allegation is against local resident Tapan Haldar. A complaint was filed against him after the incident. But the accused has been absconding since the incident. According to family sources, a few days ago, an 11-year-old fifth-grade student named Joy Shikari was playing with some children in the area. At that time, the accused Tapan Halder was passing by the road.
At that time, when there was a push and shove between the other children, the boy hit Tapan Halder with a stick in his hand. After that, Tapan Halder became angry. Allegedly, he took the child by the hair and dragged him for a long distance and made him sit up and down in public by holding his ears. But the accused did not stop even that. The child's family claims that the child was then taken to his house, tied a rope to his feet, hung him upside down on a crossbar and was severely beaten. His pants were removed.
Not only Tapan Halder, his wife and other family members and neighbors were also present at the scene at that time. It is alleged that the video of the moment of torture was even recorded on a mobile phone and that he was also threatened with harm if he told anyone. Out of fear, the child did not tell anyone at first when he returned home at night. However, the family became suspicious after seeing injury marks on various parts of his body. Despite repeated questions, he did not open his mouth. Later, after a family member saw the video taken on the accused's mobile phone, the whole incident came to light.
After that, the child was taken to the local hospital for treatment and taken to the Baruipur Subdistrict Hospital. He had to undergo a CT scan of his head and an X-ray of his chest. He has not yet recovered physically. He is unable to go to school due to pain in various parts of his body. After the incident, the local Dhosha police camp under the Joynagar police station was first informed. Later, a written complaint was filed at the Joynagar police station. But even after the complaint, the police have not arrested the accused Tapan Halder and his family members. The child's family is angry about this. The accused Tapan Halder has left the area and is hiding. The house is locked. Now all eyes are on the police's next steps.
The mother of the abused minor said, "I have not yet received justice for the kind of torture my son was subjected to. I want him to be hanged upside down like this. But I can't report him to the police station. His family members are threatening him and taking him away."
The accused has been absconding since the incident. His sister-in-law said, "None of us are supporting this incident. I was in the house next door, and if I had known that something like this was happening in that house, I would have stopped it immediately. The accused needs to be punished."
