Anubrata claims, "I-PAC is the root cause of Trinamool's downfall. The party has been completely destroyed. A political party runs on the strength of its own organization; it can never function through I-PAC. This I-PAC has ruined Trinamool. They leaked all the organization's confidential information to outsiders." Clarifying his political stance in an interview, he said, "If I receive respect, I will remain with the party; otherwise, I will stay silent. As of now, I still bear the Trinamool identity. I haven't thought about any other political move yet." Expressing deep regret over the party's over-reliance on the consultancy agency, Anubrata Mondal remarked, "When Trinamool Congress was formed in 1998, there was no I-PAC. Yet, we ensured Satabdi Roy's victory from Birbhum in 2009. We brought about 'Parivartan' (political change) in Bengal in 2011. We achieved massive success in the 2014 and 2019 elections as well. So, why was there a need for this I-PAC in the interim?" Keshta alleges that I-PAC led the party down a completely wrong path without understanding the pulse of the grassroots. Anubrata has struck a different note regarding the recent trend of a significant number of Trinamool Congress MPs and MLAs becoming 'disgruntled' and leaning towards the NDA. Standing by the party's dissident faction, he remarked, "They haven't done anything wrong. None of them have joined the BJP; they have simply formed a separate front or group of their own." This strongman leader from Birbhum had remained silent in political circles for a long time following his imprisonment. However, the way 'Keshto' Mondal has begun dropping political bombshells one after another—coinciding with the fall of the Trinamool government in Bengal—has stirred up the political landscape in both Birbhum and the entire state. It remains to be seen whether Anubrata, too, will join this new rebel faction within the Trinamool if he feels he is not accorded due 'respect'.

Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: I will stay with the party if I get respect"—I-PAC has become a thorn in Anubrata's side. Following the 2026 Assembly elections, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) faces near-total erasure from the state's political map. Anubrata Mondal, the once-dominant leader from Birbhum, has spoken out for the first time regarding this historic rout and unprecedented defeat, fiercely criticizing I-PAC. He has directly held the political consultancy firm 'I-PAC' responsible for the collapse of Mamata Banerjee's cherished empire in Bengal. At the same time, 'Keshta' (as he is popularly known) has kept everyone guessing about his own political future—whether he will join another party or embark on a new innings as the leader of a 'rebel' faction emerging within Trinamool.
