Argentina gets good news before the knockout match

BibhashLodh, BS News Agency: Argentina has received some relief news before entering the knockout stage of the World Cup. The team's defender Christian Romero has returned to full training after recovering from an injury. Such news has brought great relief to the team before the round of 32 match against Cape Verde. Romero was out of the field for a few days due to a knee injury. He left the field after getting injured in the 57th minute of the group stage match against Austria. Then he was rested in the match against Jordan. Defender Nicolas Otamendi got a chance in the starting eleven instead.

However, Romero has now returned to training with the whole team after recovering from his injury. He participated in field training with his teammates on Monday at the training camp in Kos. Earlier, the 28-year-old center-back was conducting separate fitness and rehab sessions.

Coach Lionel Scaloni had previously announced that Romero would not be in the Jordan match due to the injury. He was optimistic about Romero's speedy recovery. Now he says Romero will be fit before the knockout stages. Scaloni tested the squad's strength against Jordan in the last match after securing top spot in the group stage. However, Romero's return before the knockout stages is expected to add extra strength to Argentina's defense.
