State BJP President Rajiv Chandrasekhar expressed his anger over the absence of Left (LDF) and Congress (UDF) MPs in Parliament during the passage of the bill. He termed it a victory for the long-standing demands of the common people and strongly criticised the opposition's boycott as "shameful politics".
