A year and a half ago, when they had a problem, it escalated to the police station. However, no complaint was filed at that time. The young woman came to Magra police station to lodge a complaint. After this, the Magra police station started an investigation. The police went to the cricketer's house in Chandannagar several times. They could not find Porel. After some time, the young woman approached the Calcutta High Court. The High Court ordered the police to arrest the cricketer.
Abhishek was arrested from Kolkata by the Magra police station soon after. A case has been registered against him under several sections of the BNS including 69,311,318, 66/72 IT Act.
