On Friday, the rescue team rescued a person alive from inside the tunnel. Later, it was reported that another worker was rescued alive.
The most important turning point in the rescue operation came on Friday morning. The rescuers heard human voices from deep inside the tunnel. Later, it was possible to establish two-way communication with several people. When the rescuers assured the people inside not to panic, they responded from inside the tunnel. Local sources say that the name of the first person rescued alive is Sanjay Shah. Later, another person named Kabir Maharjan was rescued alive. According to the Nepali army spokesperson, both of them were rescued from a depth of about 170 meters in the tunnel.
