Punjab AAP's general secretary and media in-charge Vatez Pannu expressed his dissatisfaction and said, 'First, they created obstacles during Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's foreign tour. Then they did the same thing even after he returned to Punjab, and that too without any valid reason. They even instructed the officials of the Indian embassy not to give CM Mann the respect and protocol he deserves. Not only that, after returning to the country, he was harassed for three hours and then fined Rs 50,000. Then they tried to justify it by giving the excuse of 'pressure'. All this happened just because Bhagwant Mann is the CM of Punjab.' Pannu further said, 'Farmers were kept on the border for one and a half years, many funds of Punjab were also blocked. After that, the CM of Punjab was not allowed to go abroad not once but four times. The central government does not want the CM of Punjab to be able to bring funds from abroad for the benefit of Punjab.'
The party leader said, 'CM Mann went abroad on the orders of the High Court. The High Court also said that he can follow the protocol. Despite this, the officials there did not even come to meet CM Mann. The Punjab Chief Minister went to Paris to inaugurate Punjab's products at the world's second largest food festival. He went there to showcase its Rajma and Chole to the world.'
Saurabh Bhardwaj also made a scathing remark against the Centre.
Meanwhile, Delhi AAP's state president Saurabh Bhardwaj also posted on social media on the issue. He wrote, 'Bhagwant Mann was detained at an Indian airport for almost three hours. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann went to Paris to showcase Punjab's products. This happened after he challenged the central government's decision not to grant a No Objection Certificate (NOC). This arrogance of the central government must end. Even the arrogance of Ravana was crushed on the day of Dussehra.'
AAP's media in-charge claimed that the Punjab Chief Minister was detained at the airport for three hours without any reason. Various excuses were given to detain him, including his luggage being stuck, arriving and being checked. After three hours, when he was asked to leave, an officer came from behind and told him that he was under a lot of pressure, that a case would be filed against him and that he would have to pay a fine. Then a fine of Rs 50,000 was imposed. Has any Chief Minister ever been detained for three hours at the airport and fined? This happened only because he is the Chief Minister of Punjab, a Punjabi and wants to do something for the welfare of Punjab. The Central Government does not want the development of Punjab in any way.
