These two organizations have come forward again to stand by the side of those affected by thalassemia. They have taken an initiative to raise money to help thalassemia patients. They have organized a chess competition to raise money. The money collected from this competition will be handed over to the Thalassemia Society. Prominent people from the corporate world, doctors, professors, journalists and other professionals will participate in the competition. In this event, as well as chess will be played, many will extend a helping hand. Prominent people of the city will join this great initiative. Mind Game Chess Academy CEO Dr. Jayant Sarkar said, "Once again we are joining a great initiative through chess. An initiative has been taken to raise money to help thalassemia patients. We have been working for several years on the fact that playing chess can be one of the ways to get rid of dementia and Alzheimer's disease." Chess Meet Foundation President Madhurima Sengupta Bandopadhyay, Secretary Anirban Mukherjee, Rotary Club of Calcutta Aviana President Sharmistha Das and many others were present at the Sports Journalists Club Kolkata.
