Inter Kashi crowned champions of 2024-25 I-League

Inter Kashi crowned champions of 2024-25 I-League.

BS News Agency New Delhi: The All India Football Federation congratulates Inter Kashi FC on being crowned champions of the I-League 2024-25 in the wake of the verdict passed by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) on July 18, 2025.
The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has partially upheld the appeal of Inter Kashi Football Club (Inter Kashi FC) against Churchill Brothers FC Goa, Namdhari FC, Real Kashmir FC and AIFF. The CAS has ruled that AIFF shall declare Inter Kashi FC the winners of the 2024-25 I-League.
Following an unsuccessful first proceeding initiated by several I-League clubs before the AIFF Disciplinary Committee, the AIFF Appeal Committee decided on 31 May 2025 that the registration of a foreign player (Marco Berco) by Inter Kashi FC was not valid and said that all matches played by him should be forfeited by the club. This resulted in the adjustment of the I-League points table with Churchill Brothers FC Goa at the top.
Inter Kashi FC filed an appeal on 23 June 2025 and sought the quashing of the AIFF Appeal Committee's decision. After a CAS hearing held on 15 July 2025, the CAS panel ruled that the decision issued by the AIFF on 31 May 2025 was quashed and that the AIFF I-League would adjust the points table for the 2024–25 season. As per the CAS verdict, Inter Kashi ended the season with 42 points, Churchill Brothers FC Goa with 40, Real Kashmir FC with 37 and Namdhari FC with 29 points.
As a result, Inter Kashi FC has been declared the winners of the 2024-25 I-League.
CAS has already set aside the decision of the AIFF Appeal Committee on 17 June 2025, lifting the ban imposed on the named FC for fielding an ineligible player. CAS upheld the appeal of Inter Kashi FC and confirmed the preliminary decision of the AIFF Disciplinary Committee that the match between the named FC and Inter Kashi FC on 13 January 2025 was declared void by the named FC (0-3).
