A campaign and inaugural rally was held to celebrate the centenary of the establishment of Kadba Talagram Tarini Charan Laha High School, the oldest traditional school in Comilla's Barura Upazila.

The chief guest of the event was Deepak Kumar Sarkar, a former meritorious student of the school, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Jute and Textiles.
Present at the event were former students of the school, retired Chief Forest Officer Tapan Chandra Dey, former Railway Officer Deepak Kumar Bhowmik, former Headmaster Md. Anwar Hossain, President of the School Management Committee Rajiv Dutta, Headmaster Kazi Md. Former students and assistant teachers of the school Tapan Krishna Banik, Humayun Kabir, Srikant Dey, Rozina Khandaker, along with all the teachers and students.
At 11:15 am, the colorful inaugural rally started from the school premises, circled various roads of Barura Bazar and ended back at the school premises.
