On Friday (July 4), the Anti-Corruption Branch officials arrested Prashant Kumar Gogoi, Deputy Superintendent of Excise Department of Charaideo district. The officials caught him red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 in the name of shifting a liquor shop. Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Branch arrested a Grade 4 employee of the Rangia Revenue Circle Office for taking bribe. The name of the arrested employee is Dimbeshwar Haloi. The Anti-Corruption Branch officials arrested Dimbeshwar red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 60,000 from a person for land-related work. There are many allegations of taking bribes against Dimbeshwar.
