"West Bengal Human Hair Association" is an organization of the state of West Bengal, which looks after human hair processing and various activities related to this industry. This organization works to create a network of human hair processing units in the state and to protect the interests of workers and traders associated with this industry. Today, a special meeting was held in the beach town of Digha. 10 lakh people are involved in this industry for their livelihood. Out of these, about seven lakh women are involved in hair processing. The organization is giving a special message of self-reliance to women. Several lakhs of people are involved in the overall work of collecting, processing and marketing hair raw materials and delivering them to the international market. This message is given in today's conference so that more people can become self-reliant in this cottage industry in the future. There is a large number of human hair processing units in several districts of West Bengal, especially in East Medinipur, Howrah and Murshidabad, where about 10 lakh people are associated with this industry.
