A large amount of ganja was recovered again in Bhangarh. Acting on a tip-off, the Bhangarh police and the Bhangarh Division DC team jointly conducted a raid and seized a white taxi in the Baralighat area of Basanti Highway. After conducting a search, a huge quantity of ganja was recovered from that taxi.
According to police sources, four bags of ganja were brought from Cooch Behar to Dum Dum station in Kolkata by train. From there, a woman and a man were trying to take a white taxi to the Ghusighata area of North 24 Parganas. Acting on a tip-off, the Bhangarh DC police team and the Bhangarh police jointly stopped the taxi in the Baralighat area and conducted a search.
During the search, a large quantity of ganja was recovered in four bags, the market value of which the police initially estimated to be huge. A total of three people, including the taxi driver, have been arrested in this incident and the taxi has also been seized and taken to the police station.
However, it is being investigated whether anyone else is involved in this drug trafficking ring. And the Bhangarh police station is investigating the entire matter.
