According to sources, that Trinamool leader named Sekender Khan was returning to his home in Chakai village of Sonamukhi from Pakhanna Bazar in Barojora that night. Just before entering the village, someone shot him from behind. He died on the spot. On receiving the information, the police of Sonamukhi police station reached the spot, as did the Bishnupur organizational district Trinamool leadership. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to Bishnupur district hospital for autopsy.
The atmosphere across Chakai village was tense on Tuesday morning in connection with the incident. The police have cordoned off the scene. According to the latest news, the police have arrested two people on suspicion of being involved in the incident. At the same time, it has been informed that the police are investigating the incident.
