Verdict on allegations against Treasurer

Joint Secretary Debabrata Das booked, verdict on allegations against Treasurer Prabir Chakraborty awaited
BS News Agency Kolkata:‌ CAB Joint Secretary Debabrata Das was accused of involvement in financial corruption. After investigating all aspects, the CAB Apex Council has booked Debabrata Das. The CAB called an emergency meeting on Monday, realizing the importance of the matter. Allegations of conflict of interest also came to light against the organization's Treasurer Prabir Chakraborty. The Ethics Committee's verdict is awaited in his case.
The allegation against Debabrata Das is that he played cricketers in exchange for money. The CAB has booked him for complaint, realizing that there is substance in this allegation. A reply to the complaint has been sought from Debabrata Das within 15 days. If the answer is not satisfactory, then the CAB Joint Secretary will have to face major punishment. There is a risk of losing the prestigious position of CAB.  The Apex Council has ordered the payment of around 7 lakh taka for the tickets of various matches including international matches and IPL held at Eden Gardens, within 15 days.
The hearing on the matter of CAB treasurer Prabir Chakraborty, who was accused of conflict of interest, has been completed, but the verdict of the Ethics Officer is still awaited. There have been allegations of irregularities in the accounts of his own club and embezzlement of funds against Prabir Chakraborty, the top official of Uari Club. Since this is an internal matter pending in the club, CAB has not directly intervened in the matter. However, CAB has asked for a fund utilization certificate from Uari Club. It will refrain from giving any kind of donation to the club until it gets a detailed account of the sector in which the donation given by them has been used.
