Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: The BJP government of the state (West Bengal) took oath from the Brigade Parade Ground. After the fall of the Trinamool era, Subhendu Adhikari's party is now in the Bengal assembly. In that very atmosphere, the Union Railway Ministry (Indian Railways) has announced the construction of railway overbridges and railway underbridges on nine routes in North Bengal. Rs 750 crore has already been allocated for this special project of the Indian Railways. It is learned that along with the third gully of Jalpaiguri city, the Haldibari gully of Cooch Behar is also under this project of the Railway Ministry. The locals had come demanding the construction of a railway overbridge in the third gully of Jalpaiguri city and the Haldibari gully of Cooch Behar. In fact, the railway line from Raninagar Junction to Haldibari via Jalpaiguri station has divided the city of Jalpaiguri into two parts. Every day, several trains travel through this section. Due to which, the railway gate of the third railway junction on Kadamtala to Pandapara Road, one of the most important roads in the city, was closed. This caused a lot of problems for the common people.
In the case of Haldibari, the people who travel daily have to face the same problem. That is why the railway is finally going to build an overbridge at these two railway junctions to solve the problems of the common people. After investigating, it was found that the Railway Ministry had been moving towards building an overbridge from the very beginning to solve the problems of the common people. However, due to the non-cooperation of the Trinamool government, the work was not progressing, said the MP from there, Jayant.
