Protesters surrounded the vehicle of the Trinamool MLA from Kamarhati; a video of the protest has already gone viral. Madan himself clarified via a Facebook Live session that he was not inside the car at the time. He pointed the finger at a BJP worker named Anwar Khan, claiming that this individual was formerly associated with the Trinamool Congress. During the live stream, Madan leveled a series of allegations against him, stating bluntly, "Anwar is the biggest murderer in Kamarhati. He used to associate with us, but he would constantly change his colors depending on the situation."

In short, he is alleging that those who were once with Trinamool are now attempting to kill him; Madan claims they have since joined the BJP. During the Facebook Live session, he also voiced strong criticism regarding police inaction and alleged that shots were fired, though he admitted there was no proof of this. The Kamarhati MLA stated he would prove who was behind the incident by releasing CCTV footage. Visibly anxious, Madan said during the live stream, "I had set out to visit the block ward office in Dakshineswar when this incident occurred. I saw death from very close quarters. But if God protects you, who can harm you? Thanks to the many good deeds I have done and the support I have extended to so many people, I was able to return to you even after staring death in the face." He also alleged during the broadcast that miscreants had surrounded the home of a party councilor in Dakshineswar, where slogans of "Jai Shri Ram" were reportedly raised. He drew the attention of the Director General of Police (DG) and the Barrackpore Commissioner of Police (CP) during the live stream. The incident has now sparked a political war of words and is the subject of widespread discussion.
