Anvay Dravid, the younger son of Rahul Dravid, has been selected for Team India's Under-19 ODI squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka next month. The wicketkeeper-batter has consistently delivered impressive performances in domestic cricket. This selection is considered a significant milestone in his career and is also part of the preparations for the 2028 Under-19 World Cup.
Another member of the Dravid family has reached the national level in Indian cricket. Anvay Dravid, the younger son of former Indian captain and legendary batter Rahul Dravid, has been included in Team India's Under-19 ODI squad for the tour of Sri Lanka. The 17-year-old wicketkeeper-batter has been rewarded for his consistent form in domestic age-group cricket. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Junior Selection Committee, led by Sharath Sridharan, announced the squads for both the ODI and multi-day formats for the Sri Lanka tour on Thursday. The tour begins on July 4, 2026, in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, featuring three ODIs and two multi-day matches. Anvay has secured a spot in the 15-member ODI squad. He is one of two wicketkeepers in the team, alongside Rajat Baghel. Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan from Madhya Pradesh has been appointed captain, while Lakshya Raichandani will serve as the vice-captain.
