Judgement in 32 thousand job cases, Tapobrata Chakraborty is the acting Chief Justice of the High Court

Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: Starting from the cancellation of 32 thousand jobs in the first place, the verdict in the OBC case has come through his hands. A law student, Tapobrata Chakraborty has now become the acting Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court. Mr. Chakraborty has given verdicts in numerous cases in his career as a judge, keeping his spine straight. Now the responsibility of the High Court is on his shoulders. Let's find out about the acting Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court. Who is Tapobrata Chakraborty?
Growing up in an atmosphere of law since childhood. Did it seem difficult? But to put it simply, Justice Tapobrata Chakraborty was born in a family of lawyers. After being born on November 27, 1967, in a respectable family of Kolkata, Tapobrata stepped into the world of law after seeing the rest of the family. Before that, he passed his LLB in January 1991.  After registering his name as a lawyer, he practiced in the Calcutta High Court for 22 years. The year was 2013. In October of that year, Tapobrata Chakraborty was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Calcutta High Court. It took three years to get the post of permanent judge there. On March 14, 2016, Tapobrata Chakraborty made his debut in the Calcutta High Court as a permanent judge. Having completely abandoned himself in that role, he finally became the Acting Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court. In fact, today, that is, Saturday, the term of Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court Sujoy Pal ended. And then Tapobrata Babu was appointed as the Acting Judge as per the rules. The notification regarding the appointment of this judge has been issued by the Union Law Ministry. Incidentally, in his career as a judge, Tapobrata Chakraborty has given judgments in several cases. The most notable of them is the case regarding the cancellation of the jobs of 32,000 primary teachers. The single bench of the Calcutta High Court had ordered the cancellation of the jobs of 32,000 primary teachers in the state. 

Later, when a petition was filed in the court challenging that verdict, Justice Tapobrata Chakraborty dismissed the verdict and said, “If the jobs of 32,000 primary teachers are cancelled at once, it will have a very bad impact on their families. Therefore, the order to cancel these jobs is being dismissed.” In addition to this verdict, he also ordered the cancellation of all OBC certificates issued after 2010, in addition to ruling on the corruption case related to teacher recruitment.
