Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency: Kajal Sheikh has challenged her to resign from the posts of MLA and Zilla Parishad president if the corruption allegations are proven. She has also clarified that she is still in Trinamool and there is no question of joining BJP. During the changeover in the state and at that time, if anyone was a strong leader after Anubrata Mandal, it was Kajal Sheikh. In the assembly elections this year, Kajal Sheikh contested from the Hanson assembly constituency for the Trinamool Congress. She also won that time. However, there has been a change in the state this year. Out of the 11 assembly constituencies in Birbhum district, the BJP has won 6. The Trinamool Congress has won 5. Trinamool candidate Faizul Haque alias Kajal Sheikh has won from the Hanson assembly constituency. On the other hand, party candidate Bidhan Chandra Majhi won from his home constituency of Nanoor. However, after shifting to the state, multiple allegations of corruption have been made against him several times. In this regard, Kajal Sheikh clearly stated, "If 'corruption' is proven, I will resign from the post of Birbhum Zilla Parishad President and Hanson Assembly MLA. This is the first time she has made such a comment after the Trinamool-Congress debacle in the state." However, she did not stop here, she also warned the opposition and said that if she wanted, BJP would not have an 'existence' in Nanoor. However, he also spoke about why he suddenly let go of Mamata Banerjee, whom he respected like his own mother, and said, "I will not say anything clear about whose hand I let go of and whose hand I held. However, where is a large part of the Trinamool Congress, who were on Didi's right hand, left hand, before and behind? I was only a worker. I was in the Trinamool Congress, I am, I am still in Joraful. Kajal Sheikh will never join the BJP. I have not had any contact with Mamata Banerjee or Abhishek Banerjee." On the other hand, Kajal Sheikh was asked about the fact that eggs are being thrown at Trinamool leaders. Also, on July 27, when you went to pay homage to the martyrs in Basapara, Nanoor, you were seen throwing eggs at you, what do you have to say about this? In this context, Kajal Sheikh said, "Know that this is politics. Sometimes in politics, you have to take two steps back, sometimes you have to take two steps forward. If I had wanted to, I could have caught those who were throwing eggs. I could have chased them all out of the markets. But I didn't want unrest." The journalist asked, "More than once, the common people of the Hanson assembly have regretfully said that after the change, they no longer see you. What is your opinion on this matter?" Kajal Sheikh said, "The people of the Hanson assembly have given me responsibility for five years. I have failed to fulfill that responsibility to some extent. It took me some time to think about which direction the current Bengali politics will go, which direction it will flow. I will go to the Hanson assembly again, and I will apologize to those who have allegations against me."
