Fire at Kolkata Airport! Fire in ATC building, panic spreads in an instant

The airport's own two fire tenders arrived and brought the fire under control. ATC works on the seventh floor of this building. However, the fire did not reach there. Therefore, there was no impact on air traffic. This is according to airport sources.

A fire broke out in the control room on the third floor of the ATC building of Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Tuesday. The fire brigade initially assumed that the fire started from an electric light. It is reported that air traffic is controlled from the eighth floor of this building. Naturally, there was a huge sensation and panic at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport due to the sudden fire incident in the early hours of Tuesday. It is learnt that a fire broke out suddenly on the third floor of the very important Air Traffic Control (ATC) building of Kolkata Airport today. However, due to the extreme vigilance and intelligence of the fire fighters, it was possible to control the fire very quickly. It is a matter of relief that no major damage has been reported so far in this terrible fire incident. The airport authorities have also informed that the situation is completely normal.
