In protest, the prices of potatoes grown with great difficulty by farmers are falling. In protest, the CPI(M) Krishak Sabha joined the protest by throwing potatoes on the road and blocking the road, demanding an increase in the price of potatoes. Today, they blocked the road in the Ajhapur area under Jamalpur police station on important roads like Memari Tarkeshwar Road in East Burdwan. Many farmers have cultivated potatoes on loans but are forced to commit suicide due to not getting the price of potatoes, this movement is to prevent such incidents from happening. The protesters demand that the price of potatoes should be increased and the farmers should be saved. Due to the blockade, a long traffic jam was created. The police of Jamalpur police station rushed to the spot, talked to the protesters and assured them that they would then lift the road blockade. The protesters said that if the price of potatoes does not increase in the future, they will go on a bigger movement.
