Reporting Sanchita Chatterjee, BS News Agency, Mamata Banerjee: This day will remain forever etched in my memory. Alongside holding public meetings, I met with residents of various high-rise housing complexes in the Bhabanipur area, including two societies on Camac Street. I am overwhelmed by the unprecedented enthusiasm and the touch of genuine affection I received from the people. The spontaneous turnout and exuberant emotions displayed by the people today serve as an unmistakable sign that, in the upcoming elections, the victory of 'Ma-Mati-Manush' (Mother, Soil, and People) is now merely a matter of time. This boundless love and unwavering support from the people constitute the primary strength of our struggle. I offer my humble homage and gratitude to them.
Since time immemorial, this sacred land of Bengal has been a cradle of harmony and culture. There is no place here for divisive, demonic forces or for autocratic arrogance. The people of Bengal—from all walks of life—are today fully aware and united in delivering a fitting democratic response to those who seek to deprive Bengal of its rightful dues, and to those who, driven by a lust for power, harbor the sinister ambition of tarnishing the heritage of this soil. No malevolent force can halt the momentum of development in a self-reliant Bengal—a momentum that has reached every nook and cranny, from the cities to the remotest villages. Our welfare schemes serve as a protective shield for the people of Bengal; and no one possesses the power to snatch away that shield. I remain optimistic that the residents of Kolkata will stand firmly on the side of Bengal's development and peace.
To safeguard Bengal's language, culture, and heritage—and appealing to everyone regardless of caste, creed, or religion—I make this humble plea: on the upcoming 29th of April, please cast your votes for all Trinamool Congress candidates under the 'Twin Flowers' (Jora Phool) symbol, and ensure their resounding victory by a massive margin.
